Description
G.L. Crockett's 1965 release was a adapted cover of Elmore James' 1964 release, "One Way Out," which James had recorded in late 1960 or early 1961. James got the bones of the song from its writer, Sonny Boy (Aleck Miller) Williamson, who recorded and released his own version of the song in 1961. The song has been covered many, many times since, perhaps most notably by the Allman Brothers Band, who first released their live version on the 1972 album "Eat A Peach."
