GINGER SCALLION OIL [👇🏼recipe]
DAY 2 of SIZZLE WEEK! A classic in Asian cuisine, highly flavourful and versatile!
A few notes:
-make sure to work in a well ventilated area
-heat oil until it reaches its smoke point. Once you can see thin wisps of smoke, then it’s ready
-‼️stay close to the stove when heating oil… don’t want to set off smoke alarm‼️
-neutral oils work best, I’m using Avocado oil in this video, as they are a healthier option compared to any other neutral oil. ‼️DO NOT USE OLIVE OIL‼️
-the smaller the mince, the greater the surface area = more flavour
GINGER SCALLION OIL:
-1.5 bunch green onions (sliced thin)
-3-4” ginger (minced)
-2 cloves garlic (minced)
-1-2 tsp salt (to taste)
-1 tsp sugar
-1/4 cup neutral oil (avocado oil preferred)
Heat Oil and pour over ginger and garlic.
-elevate the scallions, and avoid pouring hot oil over scallions.
-mix in scallions once oil mixture has cooled down
