Ghostbusters Lego Display Scene - Chaos in NYC
Check out @BricklessToys
So, it's not of any particular scene from the movie, but it's slightly based off the Stay Puft Attack in the 1984 film. I included a few Easter eggs and some movie references in this build from the Ghostbuster's universe and other 80's horror/comedy films.
Some features and facts in this build -
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was designed by the same creator as the LEGO Ideas (21108) Ecto-1 set, Brent Waller @wallercustoms, who is an absolute Lego genius. Instructions available on his site.
Lego Icons (10278) Police Station set was used and slightly modified to fit in this build.
Ray's Occult Bookstore building was created by me. The bookstore was never predominantly shown in the films, so I went for what best examples I could find.
The Uneeda Medical Supply building, created by me as well, is from the 1985 movie - The Return Of The Living Dead. I know it has nothing to do with the Ghostbuster's movie besides the genre, but I thought it would be a fun addition. There's also 3 minifigures to go along with the main characters in the movie, Freddy, Frank, and of course Tarman.
All the vehicle's featured in the build (except the Ecto-1) were designed by Lego MOC Creator One Brick Pony @one.brick.pony, check out some of his other awesome builds. The police vehicles are replicas of a 1982 NYPD Plymouth Gran Fury and the other a 1975 NYC Checker Cab Taxi. Instructions available for purchase at rebrickable.com @rebrickable
The stay classy "Mustached News Anchor" minifigure (from @minifigsme), is interviewing some custom made minifigs Sean, Rudy, Horace, and Eugene from the 1987 movie - The Monster Squad. (Sorry, Patrick and Pheobe are coming soon). One of my all-time favorite 80's movie.
There's a Samhain minifig, one of the many villains from the 1986 animated series - The Real Ghostbusters. Some of the parts used to create him are from @brickwarriors (another great place for custom minifigs and parts) the rest are from other miscellaneous Lego sets.
The background image used was created by VectorPouch; some small changes were made to the original to better fit with this build.
The billboard for The Manhattan Museum of Art is something that I redesigned from an image created by Ben King (kingpin1055) the original can be found on DeviantArt
All other stickers, decals and prints made for this build are from @stickeryou and @signsdotcom my two go-to places for anything I can't print myself.
Hope you enjoy! Let me know if you find the rest of the hidden surprises in the CHAOS!?!
