Hans Kramer’s 9-10 piece band recorded 32 tunes between 1924 and 1927 in New York City for the Victor, Columbia and Brunswick labels. Most were instrumental waltzes, polkas and laendlers, released under the names “John Kramers Schuhplattler Kapelle” or “Hans Kramer’s Schwoben Kapelle.” Some were retitled for the Czech market and released as by “Česká Selská Kapela” (Czech peasant band).
