Description
Georg Enders (1898-1954) led the orchestra playing at Berns in Stockholm 1927-1937. From the beginning he played some hot music but more and more it turned out to be a more strict dance orchestra. Enders early recordings mainly at Orchesterola sometimes are very good with some nice jazz influence. But he recorded for many different labels, you can easily find him at Swedish Cameo for example. Here is a recording for Teco from 1933. It's a bit sad, he recorded this one for Teco since Teco normal sized records in Sweden have so bad quality, both in quality of sound and shellac.
This little melody was originally written to the Swedish movie Lördagskvällar (Saturday evenings) with Edvard Persson, directed and produced by Schamyl Baumann at the same year. A beautiful melody, but rarely, I have not found it recorded in any other versions. The title Kyss mig godnatt, means Kiss me goodnight, Refrain is sung by Harry Hågé aka Harry Gustafsson. Composer is not mentioned, but Eric Baumann (1889-1955)(also brother of the director of the move) wrote other music for the move, so I think he also must be composer.
