"A Foggy Day," written by George & Ira Gershwin in 1937 for the film A Damsel in Distress. was recorded on November 5, 1953 by Frank Sinatra for his Songs for Young Lovers album released in February 1954, his debut album on Capitol Records. The song was arranged by George Siravo but was conducted by Nelson Riddle. He was to record it again for his 1961 album, Ring-a-Ding-Ding! Sinatra’s pianist, Bill Miller, was featured on both albums.
