Broadcast from the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Thomas the Apostle in Arndale.

Welcome to this evening's offering of Choral Evensong, a deeply cherished part of the Anglican tradition, drawing on centuries of sung evening prayer. Led by the cathedral choir, this service offers an opportunity for quiet reflection through scripture, psalmody, and the ancient canticles of the church. In the stillness of the evening, Evensong allows us to lay aside the busyness of the day and turn our focus towards God, seeking peace and spiritual renewal.
Tonight’s service also marks Arndale Founders Day — a celebration of the vision first begun in 2018 that gave rise to both Arndale City and Arndale Cathedral. As we give thanks for the creativity, dedication, and community spirit that have shaped this journey, we also look forward with hope to the future, praying for the work still to be done.
