Maverick mentions during his Genius interview that "mamón" has different meanings, one of which is "ser payaso"; on the Genius video, the translation for this expression was: "to be a clown". I find this translation not very accurate.
You see, "ser payaso" ("to be a clown"), has a different connotation in Mexico...
"To be a clown" in English.- to behave in a silly way; to be a fool.
"To be a clown" in Mexico.- to be touchy, picky or dramatic.
Another expression that is used instead or along "ser payaso" is, "hacer panchos", translated to English: "to make a fuss".

Translation:
