Gene Austin was the vocalist who made the tune "My Blue Heaven" a huge hit recording in 1927 for the Victor Talking Machine Company wherein he was the leading tenor. By 1933 he was past his tenure with Victor and was making records for the ARC record companies, basically the dime store and discount labels. In this particular recording he does a nice job with Irving Berlin's "Easter Parade" a 1933 musical review entitled "As Thousands Cheer," which featured Ethel Waters.
