Рассправив рукой складку платья несмело,
С тревогой в глазах подбежала к окну.

С ресниц за слезой покатившись слеза.

И солнце, лучом растопившее утро,
Вползало лениво на твой горизонт.
И воздух, умытый дождями с востока,
Увесисто падал на маленький зонт.

А ты у окна с наступлением ночи
Стоишь не дыша, прогоняя тоску.
Глазами неистово по небу бродишь
И ищешь в потемках все ту же звезду.

Дожди отшумели, и ветры устали
Стучать беспардонно в закрытую дверь.
И дни счет себе уж давно потеряли,
А ты и забыла звезду ту теперь.

И в самый обычный из праздников праздник
К тебе на ладошку упала она.
Как будто бы в жизни твоей не встречалось,
Стоишь у окна и одна, все одна.

Dream

You’ve straighten hesitantly folder of the dress
And run to the window with anxiety in your eyes.
From thousands of stars in the sky
You wanted to see only one.

Somebody very close to you
says good bye to the star at sunrise.
You meet this star with
The same sadness at sunset.

And the sun, melted this morning,
Is lazy crawling on your skyline.
And the air, washed by rain from the east,
Is heavy falling down on your umbrella.

And you are staying at the window
As soon as the night comes.
Not breathing, just looking
For the star.

The rains finished to bluster and the winds
Got tired to knock shamelessly on the closed door.
And the days lost themselves
And you forgot about the star.

And in the most usual of all holidays
The star fell down on your hand.
As if you’ve never stand alone
Night by night at the cold window.

And in the most usual of all holidays
The star fell down to your hand.
Now you know something for sure.
You’ll never be alone anymore.
