Digital driver's license options in 2025

Driver’s licenses in North Carolina are going digital. People there now have the option to choose if they want a digital license or a physical, laminate license. House Bill 199 allows people to put their license on their phones. North Carolina's DMV commissioner supports the idea saying it's more secure than a physical card.
