“Die Young” was the first, and the lead, single from Kesha’s second studio album, “Warrior”, and was released on September 25th, 2012. This “deconstructed” version, appeared on her ‘Deconstructed’ EP, which was released in CD form in December 2012 [as the ‘bonus disc’ to the Fan Edition of ‘Warrior’], and digital form [solo] in February 2013, in the United States.
‘Die Young’ was an international hit, having debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #13, eventually peaking at #2—marking her eighth Top 10 entry [Die Young was her 8th release, at the time making her 8 for 8]. Her ‘Warrior’ album was also a commercial success, debuting on the Billboard Hot 200 at #6.
Die Young was written by Kesha, Lukasz Gottwald, Benjamin Levin, Nate Reuss and Henry Walter; while it was produced by Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco and Cirkut.
