I woke up about an hour ago and read about the passing of Jimmy Buffett. I won’t go as far as to say that I was a pure parrothead, but over the years I’ve added a lot of his songs into my sets. This one in particular has become a bit of a standard at my gigs. I think it took me until the age of 42 to finally realize I was on the wrong side of forty while playing this one, which made me feel a bit more “grown up” at that moment. RIP Jimmy.
