Hey everyone! 🍀 It’s that time of the year again—St. Patrick’s Day! 🎉 And We have got a super fun challenge for you all today. Let’s create the perfect atmosphere for a busy bar scene using foley sounds made at home! 🎶
Items:
Crowd Chatter: Some acting was required here to make it seem like multiple people, and we layered different recordings of the mumbling and talking. 🗣️ This was the biggest challenge and is our primary focus on creating this all by ourselves.
Clinking Glasses: Find some glasses and softly tap them together. You can also add a bit of liquid inside to make it sound more realistic by dampening that glass ringing and giving some variation in tones. 🥂 careful of that mic!
Other Incidents: I've focused on what's directly in front of us, we wouldn't be able to hear it in reality. But our storytelling brains want to hear it. So the subtle sound of the glass being slid along the bar. And the pour of liquid into a glass.
Background Music: Used a free music-making app to give some kind of musical ambience, no masterpiece is required here; it pads the atmosphere.
