Many have suggested this Adele song is an odd selection for me to cover. I agree. That’s largely why I chose it and why I’ve played it live so often over the years. Not only is it a beautiful song, but it’s also out of my wheelhouse. It’s challenging. It’s unexpected. It’s a song I could pull out on stage whenever I felt like the set was getting stale or I was feeling uninspired. It would force me back into the moment, demanding all of my concentration and energy. Some nights I nailed it, some nights I didn’t, but it always made for a memorable moment in the show. That’s what it’s all about. Hope y’all enjoy!
