No place to go
Nothing to do
No one I know
Since I lost you
I thought that I'd find a new one
Someone to show the town
I might feel right with a new one
But waiting around is getting me down
For I have no place to go
Lost in the crowd
I journey by highway
No more by a cloud
I'm beginning to realize
That even a new one
And even a true one won't do
For there's no place to go and nothing to do
Without you
For I have no place to go
Lost in the crowd
I journey by highway
No more by a cloud
I'm beginning to realize
That even a new one
And even a true one won't do
For there's no place to go and nothing to do
Without you
Romantic Pop From The Post Big Band Era
Prolific songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Connie Conway co-owned MCI Records, which released the first Gold record out of Arizona (Sanford Clark's The Fool, written by Lee Hazlewood). His own material, which has been featured in AMC's hit show Mad Men, showcases Conway's signature silky, intimate vocals, muted trumpet and elegant piano-centric arrangements, a la Mel Torme, Nat King Cole or Dean Martin. Recorded in Central Phoenix from 1954-56, these previously unreleased mid-century gems bring back the quintessential Rat Pack-esque sound that bridged the gap between the Big Band and Early Rock and Roll eras.
