Description
This is the first recorded version of Compay's most famous son. It features his own group.
Four years later he re-recorded it with Eliades Ochoa & the Cuarteto Patria. Their live performances of the song made it famous across Cuba.
In 1996, it became the opening track for the Buena Vista Social Club album, gaining international fame.
Compay Segundo recorded the song again for various albums before his death in 2003.
