This is a clip from the 2007 movie Fracture (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fracture_(2007_film)), starring Anthony Hopkins as Ted Crawford who shoots his unfaithful wife, putting her in a vegetative state, and is tried for attempted murder. Crawford outwits the prosecutor and is acquitted. His wife later dies and the prosecutor researches the law on double jeopardy to see if he can retry Crawford for murder after discovering how Crawford managed to conceal the murder weapon.
