When Peter said to me he was going to ask Chubby Carrier and Fuzzy Rankins to take the stage together I didn't know exactly what to think. He has made it into a bit of a tradition of mixing musical genres on stage in the past.
I've trusted his judgment in the past and he always seems to come through. But Fuzzy Rankins and Chubby Carrier on stage together. Two hugely charismatic, energetic Grammy-winning entertainers solidly in different camps. Add to that Chubby's longtime award-winning guitar player, Randy Ellis and you got a real Gumbo on that stage.
The moment they got on stage together it felt like they had known each other for years, not mere minutes.
I think you will agree that this wicked performance and the huge crowd speaks for itself. This turned into another unforgettable Gator by The Bay performance, one we will not soon forget.
