From the album Come My Way. A fine follow-up to Stylin' up. It was worth waiting for Come My Way. Changing with the times, Anu introduced more pop influences into her sound, and the rap riffs of her first album are now replaced by dance. But the essentials are the same: spunky funk/pop (now more pop) based on the indigenous sounds of her Australian Torres Strait Island soul, rich rhythms, subtle arrangements. Some great songs there (Anu co-wrote most of them), and a truly great, silky voice. Exceptionally danceable. A very welcome inclusion of a new version of her 1995 hit Island Home as a bonus track. This is Christine Anu at her best yet.
Christine Anu released Come My Way in 2001 through Mushroom Music.
