Description
This awesome track was the B-side of Chic's hit single, "Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)," which went to #6 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1977. Known more for their disco/dance classics, Chic could also do superb instrumentals, as this track proves. Sao Paulo is actually my favorite Chic song--I just love those arrangements that seem to venture in the realm of the jazz-funk or chill-out genre, highlighted by George Young's flute and tenor saxophone, along with that distinctive bass and guitar work by the masters themselves, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards.
