The Irish music phenomenon, Celtic Woman has earned international recognition for their heavenly melodies and magnificent live shows. The 5 member Irish female ensemble known for putting a modern twist on the Celtic sound releases their most recent CD, 'Songs from the Heart', in February this year.
The Celtic Woman concept was developed five years ago by Riverdance's musical director, David Downes, initially as a one-off performance, but demand has been so great that the group has toured extensively in the US, South Africa, Japan and China. The band's sold more than six million albums and DVDs, it seems adding fiddles, pipes and whistles to famous pop songs appears to be a winning formula.
