Description
Cantiga de Santa Maria No. 100 ("Santa Maria Strela do dia") from the Court of Alfonso X of Castile (1252-1284). Music arranged by the performers.
Performed by the CSMA Early Music Minstrels. These four high school students all study music at the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View, CA (www.arts4all.org).
This performance took place on March 12, 2011 at the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival Concert II in the UC Santa Cruz Music Recital Hall. The students were the Grand Prize winners of the 2011 Youth Chamber Music Competition sponsored by the festival.
