Kenning is the fourth track of my album "Huginn Muninn".

My stylistic approach in this album is to prioritize solo guitar as a narrative voice, in phrasing that is both technical and melodic at the same time. I used the figures of two ravens of Odin to represent what I believe to be the two main modes of communication of the instrument, HUGINN (technical) and MUNINN (expression).

The Viking poem's scaldic poetry often used pun with crows to allude to Odin. The Kenning was a rhetorical figure in which traditional images were used to refer to someone, rather than calling it by its proper name, for example Hraf-nagud (Odin).
