I don’t want to compare every clown to the Joker but how the hell did we get the best Joker from a character that isn’t even the Joker. He was a highly charismatic, funny but terrifying clown who you knew you should hate but can’t help but love just a little bit. The actor deserves one hell of an award for his amazing adaptation of this character. 👏🎥🌟

One Piece is a fantasy adventure television series developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda for Netflix. The series is a live action adaptation of the ongoing 1997 Japanese manga series of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, who himself served as a major creative consultant for the series. It is produced by Kaji Productions and Shueisha (who also publish the manga). The series stars an ensemble cast including Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar as the main five members of the Straw Hat Pirates.

The series premiered on August 31, 2023, and received positive reviews from both critics and fans who praised the performances, story, visual effects, and general faithfulness towards the characters and events from the source material. Several outlets have labeled it one of the best live-action anime adaptations, considering it a major improvement over Netflix's previous attempts such as the live action versions of Cowboy Bebop and Death Note.

The story begins with the execution of the infamous pirate captain Gold Roger. His death sparks a frenzied hunt for his hidden treasure, known as the 'One Piece.' Twenty-two years later, Monkey D. Luffy, an aspiring pirate, crosses paths with the cruel pirate Alvida and her mistreated cabin boy, Koby. Using his unique elasticity powers acquired from eating a Devil Fruit, Luffy defeats Alvida, befriends Koby, and embarks on a quest to find the Grand Line, where the One Piece is rumored to be.

On their journey, Luffy and Koby encounter Roronoa Zoro, a swordsman wrongly sentenced to execution. After a confrontation with Marine Captain Morgan's corrupt son, Helmeppo, Luffy rescues Zoro, and they are joined by Nami, a cunning cat burglar with her own agenda. Together, they face off against Morgan, seize a map to the Grand Line, and set sail on the Going Merry, a ship gifted to them by the kind Kaya.

They encounter Buggy the Clown, who has ties to Luffy's childhood hero, Shanks. Luffy and his friends ultimately defeat Buggy and free the people of Orange Town. They make their way to Baratie, a floating restaurant, where they meet Sanji, a talented chef. The crew faces off against Warlord Dracule Mihawk and, despite defeat, gains a new member in Sanji.

Buggy the Star Clown is the captain of the Buggy Pirates as well as the co-leader of the Buggy and Alvida Alliance, and a former apprentice of the Roger Pirates alongside Shanks. Shortly after the Summit War of Marineford, he became a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and the leader of the pirate dispatch organization "Buggy's Delivery". He later lost his Warlord title when the system was abolished but was then recognized as one of the Four Emperors following the downfalls of Kaidou and Big Mom and the creation of the Cross Guild, of which he is publicly recognized as the leader.

He is the main antagonist of the Orange Town Arc and can be considered the secondary antagonist of the Loguetown Arc. He has since become a highly recurring character in the series. Buggy is also the central character from Buggy's Crew Adventure Chronicles Cover Page Serial. Despite his rivalry with Luffy, he temporarily became one of his main allies during the Impel Down and Marineford Arcs.

He is also the main antagonist in most episodes of "Boss Luffy Historical Special". He also serves as a help to Luffy in the 3D2Y special episode, and the movie One Piece: Stampede.

Before his loss to Luffy, he was willing to use his own crew as human shields. Afterwards, he shows a lot more concern about their well-being. Buggy manages to recruit a transformed Alvida to his cause.
