💜 I will never get tired to watch the dance intro to Airplane pt.2. The way Jungkook enters the show is unforgettable. 💜 “Airplane Pt. 2” a follow-up to J-Hope’s solo “Airplane” from the mixtape Hope World, is a celebration of the group’s international success. The Latin pop-inspired track begins with verses reflecting on an artist’s desire to succeed and then flashes forward a few years to relay how BTS is living nowadays, acting as traveling musicians, like mariachis, living out of hotel rooms.
"El Mariachi" continuously appears throughout the song. El Mariachi is a film about a wandering musician who sings romance but nobody cares. Despite the apathy, the musician steadily continued his music, and it somehow reminded the old days of BTS. Their lyrics "Wherever in the world, I will sing" clearly define what "El Mariachi" conveys in the song.
