Bobby Pickett was born on February 11, 1938 in Somerville, Massachusetts, USA as Robert George Pickett. He died on April 25, 2007 in West Los Angeles, California, USA.
Bobby once again in 1973 teamed up with Gary Paxton, who was the lead singer on The Hollywood Argyles' novelty hit "Alley Oop", released on his own label in the sixties. Together they updated the Pickett / Capizzi song, "Me And My Mummy" originally recorded back in 64 and on the Garpax label. The lyrics have slightly changed from the original version, and this new version is extended with humerous opening and closing dialogue.
