Description
live music video for the recent single 'salt eyes' by the duo blue ringed baby and kamī, out now on GODDEZZ alongside a remix from placid angles.
Blue Ringed Baby & Kamī, the London-based producer/vocalist duo known for their lush fusion of jungle, shoegaze, ambient and trip-hop, return with their second single “Salt Eyes”, taken from their upcoming LP Forever Chemicals on Goddezz. Salt Eyes dives into heavier emotional waters with a visceral exploration of burnout, overstimulation, and the search for connection in a hyper-distracted world. Kamī’s aching vocal cuts through Blue Ringed Baby’s undulating guitar and live breakbeats, describing the sensation of being emotionally submerged in a “rip current”, swept violently away from calm.
The release is accompanied by a rare and sacred remix from Placid Angles, the cult alias of John Beltran, whose 1997 album The Cry helped define a generation of ambient and breakbeat techno.
Forever Chemicals (the LP) is due later this year on Goddezz, the London label known for championing genre-fluid, rave-adjacent sounds from artists like Angel D’lite, Tim Reaper and Salamanda. Featuring collaborations with ambient oracles and nu-age heralders like Love Spirals Downwards, bbsanii, Marijn S and Stone, the album is a conceptual journey through emotional noise and inner unraveling.
