The other day I went for a short drive. It was a beautiful day, a day when the windows could be rolled down and the wind could fill the car.

It was a drive meant to be filled with...... smooth jazz. Yes, that type of jazz that purists / traditionalists have decried now for decades, but that people like me love. Because there is a time and place for everything. Well, almost everything.

And one of the tunes on my playlist that day was this tune by Blake Aaron. It was perfect for the day and the drive. Make no mistake, Blake Aaron can play a mean guitar, but this tune is not about his guitar skills. It is a nicely integrated ensemble piece, with his guitar rising above occasionally to accent the ensemble's sound.

When I was a youngster in the '80s, we would make mixed tapes. This is the kind of tune that would be on one of those mixed tapes, but not on another one. Because it fits a certain mood, a certain feeling.

All of that to say that this song is a great listen and one that belongs on my channel.
