"Für Elise" is one of the most famous Western classical pieces and best-known works of Ludwig van Beethoven. "Für Elise" was not published during his lifetime. Rather it was discovered and published 40 years after he died in 1867. It is believed that Beethoven completed this piece on the 27th of April, 1810, when he was 39 years of age.

The identity of "Elise" remains unknown. Although, over the years according to researchers and scholars "Elise" could be a close friend of Beethoven, possibly someone important in his life. This composition has a possibly romantic backstory for a Romantic era, and the title itself is shrouded in mystery. And since then, this has been one of the greatest mysteries in the history of music.
