A soundtrack album featuring various pieces from the soundtrack to The Darling Buds of May (1991-1993), a Yorkshire Television-produced adaptation of the H.E. Bates novels starring David Jason (Pop Larkin), Pam Ferris (Ma Larkin), Philip Franks ("Charlie" Charlton) and Catherine Zeta-Jones (Mariette Charlton neé Larkin).

The mix of upbeat easy-going music and romantic pastoral tunes accentuate the show's atmosphere quite nicely. In addition, there's a handful of arrangements of radio themes that would have been listened to during the show's late 50s/early 60s setting (specifically tracks 5, 6, 12 and 13).
