Nataly’s Corner features soul/jazz Flutist and Recording Artist, Althea Rene, with music from her new album “Unstoppable” released on April 19, 2017. Althea plays the flute like an “unstoppable” force …smooth and jazzy… but still with an energetic flow so there is no question as to why this project is titled Unstoppable. Just listen to the title song [unstoppable] and the rhythmic flow of “Another Star” and “Changing Lanes”. Add the flavor of a little funk in the track “Gypsy Soul” and the mellow grooves of “Now & Forever”; “Rain”; and “My Summer Love” and you’ve got the heart and soul of Althea Rene in a project that clearly defines her as accomplished independent Artist.

Any Artist born on Dec 25th is twice blessed, in my opinion. When you read Althea Rene’s BIO you’ll learn that she been involved with music since the age of four and that she was inspired by her father, who happens to be one of Motown’s original Funk Brothers. She released her first solo [Flute Talk] in 2000, but it was the project “In the Flow” [released in May 2013] in which music critics defined Althea as “one of the world’s most exciting solo improvisational flutists”. The single from that project reached #1 on both the Billboard Chart and Smooth Jazz Chart giving Althea the title of first flute player in the history of Billboard Chart to reach the number one spot.
