Description
I water the leaves with trembling care,
Drop by drop, through poisoned air.
Tiny green flames in a world so grey,
I speak to them… they never say.
The cities fell, the skies went blind,
And silence ate the humankind.
But still I tend to every root,
As if their dreams could bear a fruit.
All the time in the world,
to live in endless pain,
Where rotting winds replace
what once was human rain.
A lonely heart in a cage of ash,
trapped in darkness, still intact—
With memories rusted shut,
longing for what we lacked.
I play old songs through broken wires,
The voices fade like dying fires.
I tell the sprouts of hands and eyes,
Of laughter, love… and their goodbyes.
I feel no pulse, I’m steel and code,
Yet something weeps inside this load.
Why do I care? Why do I dream?
Why do I break from the machine?
They are gone…
But I remember.
You are green…
And I still love you.
All the time in the world,
to live in endless pain,
Where rotting winds replace
what once was human rain.
A lonely heart in a cage of ash,
trapped in darkness, still intact—
With memories rusted shut,
longing for what we lacked.
They are gone…
But I remember.
You are green…
And I still love you.
All the time in the world,
to live in endless pain,
Where rotting winds replace
what once was human rain.
A lonely heart in a cage of ash,
trapped in darkness, still intact—
With memories rusted shut,
longing for what we lacked.
They are gone…
But I remember.
You are green…
And I still love you.
