...some days, you play a fancy casino in Lake Tahoe and the green room looks like some smashed-up version of decór that inspires vision of a Madonna + The Rat Pack music video. And sometimes, after the show when the band is signing, you are alone in the aforementioned green room and there is a piano. And you haven't seen a piano in weeks. And in a state of partial déshabiller, you sit at the piano, knock back a slug of bourbon, and play a song you've only ever heard Ray Charles do back when you were a kid.
(and then, later, you blow a ton of money in the casino trying to learn how to play Craps—because that is what the Rat Pack would have done. but you're not as cool. you should have kept the bow tie on...)
