R.I.P. Michel Legrand (1932-2019). A 2006 concert performance in Paris of "The Hands of Time" with Avec l'Orchestre National d'Ile-de-France. Legrand's stirring composition is best known as the theme to the 1971 Emmy-winning TV movie "Brian's Song". Lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. Legrand, a prolific composer and arranger of countless movie soundtracks, also was a brilliant jazz and concert pianist.
