Each year, AccorHotels brings together travel professionals, hoteliers, regional representatives, sponsors and partners at its annual Global Meeting Exchange (GME) to connect, learn and engage in the latest hospitality, meetings & events industry, and economic trends. For GME 2019 in Montreux, AccorHotels wanted to create a lively atmosphere that equally forged strong business relationships, and they sought out SongDivision to get them there.

Our solution, the Team Anthem. This highly energetic songwriting session inspired attendees to come together, think creatively, and have fun, all while focusing on the key conference messages of innovation and evolution. The famed 2m2c Montreux Meetings & Convention Center served as the ideal setting in which to celebrate the message of innovation with the help of SongDivision’s world-class musicians.

The session began with all 280 attendees entering the 2m2c concert hall from backstage, while our SongDivision band played songs by some of the greatest headliners to grace the same spotlight, including David Bowie and Prince. In that instant, attendees became rockstars and were ready to perform. After establishing the musical style and writing lyrics in small groups, the song came together in one unforgettable performance that saw over 200 attendees come together as one onstage.

The energy and enthusiasm of the group was electrifying as attendee-volunteers rocked out on guitar, rapped, and even performed the worm across the front of the stage. The group left the auditorium feeling closer than ever before and singing their new Team Anthem all the way down Av. Claude-Nobs on their way to lunch!
