Description
Vocal and organ by B. B. Cunningham on this Memphis group’s popular nonsense-novelty hit. It was originally issued simply under the title “Let It All Hang Out” but changed soon after (probably due to radio stations’ hesitance to say it on the air). The opening phrase “A preachment, dear frends, etc.” was copied from the late-1940s Red Ingle recording “Cigareets, Whuskey, And Wild, Wild Women” (listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJmR3DVKsSI ).
