Yakety Sax (Randolph-Rich) by Boots Randolph and his Combo
Known to many as The Benny Hill theme, “Yakety Sax” was written in 1958, inspired by the King Curtis sax solo in the recent Coasters hit “Yakety Yak.” Nashville session musician Randolph had first recorded it for RCA Victor that year (billed as Randy Randolph) https://youtu.be/VG93r2iz86k and re-did it in this more famous version for Monument in ’63.
