From the Rick Colom Collection: One of 1931’s greatest song hits, along with the also-posted flipside “In The Merry Month Of Maybe,” were written for “Billy Rose’s Crazy Quilt,” a 79-performance 1931 revue that featured Fanny Brice, Phil Baker, and Ted Healy among the cast.
“Frank Auburn” was a pseudonym commonly seen on various dime store labels to represent the works of several well-known recording artists, including Ben Selvin, Harry Reser, Fred Rich, Sam Lanin, Phil Spitalny and others.
