I recently got hooked into other Danmeis~ (Like this little treasure UvU)
The book is called Sui Yu Tou Zhu, otherwise known as Crushing Jade and Casting Pearls (ima abbreviate it as sytz)~ This book is set in the late 1980s in China, so it's a historical fiction (of sorts)


Ji Shenyu (nicknamed Ji Zhenzhu which means pearl) is brought to Ding Hanbai's family as an apprentice after Zhenzhu's father/master passed away. Initially, Ding Hanbai is... an a** to put it kindly, but he eventually warms up to Zhenzhu and proceeds to pursue him. (It's a very, very, very sweet story T^T I highly recommend)
