Translating the main theme song (片頭曲) “Walk Alone" (獨行我路) from Mystery of the Sabre 1994 (獨臂刀客) into English.

Original Cantonese Song by Lee Kwok Cheung (李國祥).

This series, "Mystery of the Sabre" which I enjoyed when I was young was released by TVB in 1994. It does not appear to be a popular series and there's not much information that I can find on the series. There's lots of stories regarding a one armed swordsman that has featured in films and TV series, such as "The Blade" and the "Bastard Swordsman" series. But I guess this must be TVB's own take on the tale. There's lots of plot holes and things that don't make sense in this series looking at it with adult eyes. This one is best watch by switching off the brain, LOL.

TVB assembled a pretty decent cast for this series. Chin Siu Ho (錢小豪) and Jimmy Au (歐瑞偉) being the leading actors. I always enjoyed shows by Chin Siu Ho as he looks gritty and acts well. He looks like he belongs in the wuxia period. At this stage of his career, Jimmy Au still had star pulling power. He played a pair of twins in this series. The female cast included Emily Kwan (關寶慧), Elaine Ho (何婉盈), Carol Yeung (楊羚) and Joyce Chan (陳燕航). For some reason, I really loved the character of the "Sword Slave" played by Joyce Chan in this series.

The main theme song is titled more like "Walking My Own Path Alone" but I have kept it to "Walk Alone" which is the English translated title that the artist, Lee Kwok Cheung, used for the song in his track listing. It is a very catchy and action orientated song. So I have to apologise for my clip as it doesn't sync well to the song. But I generally focus on trying to provide a glimpse of the series and the actors/actresses in the series as part of my clips. Anyway, enjoy.
