Description
Kunqu opera “The Palace of Eternal Youth” ， written by Hong Sheng(1643-1704), is based on the tragic and true story of Tang Emperor Li Longji（685-762） and his favourite wife Yang Yuhuan（719-756）.
In this piece, the emperor is mourning over the death of his love.
The performer, Qian Zhenrong（钱振荣） is my favourite Kunqu master. He is a nationally top-ranked artist from Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Troupe.
