Description
This video was recorded at Centro Cultural Liquen, Villarrica, during the Ethno Chile 2024 international encounter of folk music, held in Curarrehue, Chile, in February 2024. Musicians from around the world came together to share and play music from their respective cultures during a nine-day residency. We extend our gratitude to Mamiko Yuasa for sharing and teaching this song to the Ethno Chile Orchestra 2024.

This song is one of the most famous *Enka songs in Japan.
The theme of this song is the hometown of a man. The lyrics are about a man living in the city who receives a package from his parents and misses about early spring in his hometown, his family, and his former love.
*Enka (演歌) is one of the Japanese music genres. The style is considered to resemble traditional Japanese music.
