Listening to the original song gave me chills. I've always admired Ado's voice, but this song resonated with me in a way unlike any other. The combination of the music, art, and video was truly breathtaking—it felt like an entire experience rather than just a song.

As I step into a new year of my life, Elf makes me reflect on the longing and separation I feel from my past self. Lately, I've realized that I’m no longer the person I was just a few months ago. This song made me feel that bittersweet farewell to my past while embracing the person I am becoming. It feels like the perfect song to express this moment of change.

I’m not sure if I did this song justice, but I genuinely hope I did—because, for once, I felt a little proud of it.
